I know I don't post very often, but I still check this blog everyday. If you have any questions, just comment on any of the posts out there. I will answer it ASAP.
Hi, I will be a senior this fall and am looking into BS MD programs. What courses would convert to credit at PSU-Jefferson program where I believe you are currently? Could please advise me? What courses that I have taken will convert to credit and what should I take next year that will prove useful? I have listed some of my stats below. Please let me know if I am a strong candidate and how I can improve:
AP courses taken so far: English: AP English Language 4/5, AP Lit. Social Studies: AP Human Geography 5/5, AP US Govt.5/5, AP Euro.5/5, AP Macroeconomics, AP Psychology Science: AP Chemistry 3/5, SAT subject test in Chemistry : 720 Math: AP Calculus BC Fine Arts: Piano Performance and Theory 12th grade plans : AP Statistics, AP US HIstory? Does PSU give credit for this? What courses can I take to get credit to get out of the Humanities requirements? Spanish 3, Computational Chemisty, and Medicinal Chemistry or Bioinformatics (introductory courses through an online state school) - Would these courses look better than an AP Physics or AP BIology course? I like Anatomy and Physiology and have the option of taking it at the local community college for free. Is this a more useful option? SAT: 2340, ACT: 33 (9th grade) I could retake it this fall EC's : Science Olympiad Team Captain and medaled in Anatomy, Disease Detectives, Microbe Mission, Ecology Speech and Debate Competitions. Medaled in Team Policy Debate and Speech events Taekwondo : Honor Society : Communications Chair, Vice-President, President Founder/President and Teacher of Speech and Debate club Plan to shadow doctor, volunteer or take an Emt course ? in the summer and senior year Three Week summer camps: Modern Medicine and Immunology at Duke, Biology of Cancer at Duke, and Anatomy and Physiology Camp, and State sponsored research in genetics. Thanks for any input. Also, is Jefferson Medical school more expensive than other BS MD programs?

Haha, I am not at PSU-Jefferson, so I can't really answer your question about courses for credit.
DeleteI know that Jefferson isn't the most expensive schools out there though. Drexel, GWU, or maybe even Brown could be more expensive.
